Hello Mindful Reader! Welcome to our first #mindfulmonday post. We hope you had an “easy-breezy” relaxing weekend and had the opportunity to get ready for the week ahead. Here at Vendition we know that everyone recharges their batteries in their own way, and that is totally okay! There isn’t one answer or one way. To help you get in the right mindset for the week, we are going to start the week off with some positive affirmations. If you aren’t quite sure what that is, it’s a way to help rewire our brains to start thinking positively about not only ourselves but our interactions throughout the day.

By reading a simple phrase such as “I am enough” or “I am going to have a good day” and repeating it out loud to yourself, you can change your mind and become even more powerful. A simple phrase can automatically build a greater sense of self-esteem and alter any potentially negative thought patterns you might be holding against yourself.

Are you beginning to catch on? If so, great! We knew you could.

The practice of reading positive affirmations stems from recent trends around mental health awareness. Having a healthy and happy mindset is so vital to our everyday lives especially when there are so many things to juggle–whether that is at home, in the workplace, or whatever it is you are passionate about spending your time doing.

We understand that it isn’t as easy as people say when they beckon you to have a happy mindset, however. Instead, it can be easy to fall into that vicious cycle of negative self talk…”What do I wear today? I don’t look good in this. I need to lose weight. There is so much I need to do for work. I won’t get that promotion. I’m not worthy.”

Pretty heavy, huh? But you get what we mean. Sometimes the person in our head can get carried away, and what we DON’T want you to do, is let it! The best way to strengthen your resilience is to practice positive affirmations every single day! There are so many benefits to using affirmations as part of your daily morning routine (or any routine for that matter):

  • They help increase your awareness of your thoughts and words making it easier for you to recognize the negative + self-doubt thought patterns holding you back.
  • They define your focus. When you focus your energy on the things you want: achieving your goals, positive, uplifting & good thoughts you are creating an abundance mindset and strengthening your resolve to make it happen.
  • They open you up to possibility. Too often we get stuck in the ‘impossible’ mindset, but affirmations flip this on its head. When you begin to positively affirm what is actually possible, a whole world of opportunity opens up to you.

That sounds pretty nice, right? So, here is the game plan. Throughout the day today, we are going to be posting A LOT–and we mean A LOT– of positive affirmations on our social platforms. Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter…You name it! Turn on your post notifications from our account to receive an alert of when we post or just check in throughout the day on your breaks!

Either way, we hope to see you there and positively affirming your dreams and ambitions because you are worthy
