Transitioning from a dedicated D1 athlete to contemplating her future was a significant shift for Keira. After graduating from Grand Canyon University with an MBA, she found herself at a crossroads, searching for a new path that would match the thrill of competition. Exploring various options, she looked for a challenge that would push her beyond her comfort zone while leveraging her strengths. It was during this period of reflection that she discovered the world of sales.

What drew her to Meadow is the profound impact they make in the higher education space every day. In her work, she realized the significance of helping the next generation of students afford school. This mission resonates deeply with her, as she personally benefited from a scholarship that facilitated her own higher education journey. With each day, she finds herself increasingly enamored with her role and the company she’s part of.

When asked about how her background as an athlete contributes to her success in sales, she reflected on the parallels between the two roles. The determination to persevere, especially when facing challenges and striving to meet goals by the end of the week, resonates deeply with her experience as a D1 athlete. She emphasizes the importance of adaptability, drawing similarities between the need to pivot in sales when things don’t go as planned and adjusting during athletic competitions. “Being able to keep your composure and showing up when you’re nervous is a big thing”, she emphasized. “When I was going into a race and didn’t feel 100%, I had to fake it till I made it. Putting on that confident front is super important”.

When it comes to her future at Meadow, she prioritizes professional growth and development. Her primary goal revolves around the pursuit of knowledge, aiming to absorb as much information as possible while refining her unique style to tasks. Meeting and exceeding monthly quotas remains a top priority, serving as a driving force in her day-to-day efforts. Additionally, she looks forward to the idea of conducting demos, viewing it as an exciting avenue for personal and professional development.
